Course overview

During this 12-week course, you will learn to create a range of designs including foam arrangements, wired wedding designs, glued and tied designs. You will build your knowledge of the care of cut flowers and learn to identify commonly used materials, producing a new design each week. You will learn how to operate safely within the industry. There are no portfolios required for this course but Health and Safety is assessed by means of a short online test and there are two evenings of practical assessments.

This evening course runs on a Monday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 pm and provides the opportunity to gain the City and Guilds Level 1 Award in Land Based Studies (floristry).

Additional Costs:

Students must purchase their own flowers each week except for the two assessment weeks which are £75.
