HGV IRTEC Inspection Technician

Course overview

This course is for those who are completing a range of servicing, maintenance and vehicle safety inspections within HGV heavy commercial vehicles and have at least 3 years industry experience.

Candidates will complete a full vehicle safety inspection whilst demonstrating the correct inspection methods and use of appropriate test equipment and information sources when making judgements on the serviceability of vehicle systems and components.

These assessments will be completed within your workplace.

Candidates will also need to complete an underpinning knowledge online assessment based on technical and legislative requirements on heavy vehicle inspections.
